ECU Remapping Options
There are two different prices for the ECU remap service. The price will depend on whether your vehicle can be ‘remapped’ via the OBD port, or if the ECU needs to be removed from the car before remapping.
If your vehicle has an ECU with an OBD (on-board diagnostics) port, the cost is:
‘OBD port‘ ECU remap = £270 incl. VAT
Vehicles without an OBD port require direct programming of the ECU unit, which must be removed from the vehicle. This is called ‘bench mode‘ ECU remapping and is more expensive due to the additional labour cost.
‘Bench mode‘ ECU remap = £350 incl. VAT
Benefits of ECU Remapping
A variety of benefits are achievable via ECU remapping, depending on the customer requirements and the limitations of the vehicle. An ECU is programmed with vehicle manufacturer software to manage the performance & fuel consumption of the vehicle. Remapping the ECU involves updating the software to achieve the improvements requested by the customer.
